Blessed Be the Lord

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel
All glory, honor and praise be given unto Him.
Blow the trumpets throughout Zion.
Give tribute to the mighty protector of His people
From the holy wailing walls of Jerusalem
To the houses of the gentiles in distant lands.
Bow in respect for the promised seed of Abraham.
The Heart of David and the Wisdom of Solomon
That was placed inside the spotless Lamb
And lay upon the sacred alter of God.
The blessed lamb pure and righteous
Sacrificed for man’s sins and iniquities
That its prisoners might go free.
The sweet aroma of obedience filled the air
And the clouds of fire accepted it in heaven.
Messiah came to save a peculiar people
Thru the Covent promises of a living God
A priceless gift was nailed to a cross
And offered to all who would receive it.
Jesus, king of the Jews, angels and people of all nations.
The good shepherd came across the hands of time
Looking for the lost and dying sheep
Not because of their works or deeds of the law
But because of His faithfulness and love to fulfill it.
He came to redeem His bride
And restore her to the glory and honor
His Father intended her to have.
He came to heal and bandage her wounds,
And to fill her with living water and the bread of life.
As many stars as there are in the sky
Are the blessings that He lays upon her head.
All His promises to her he has written down
And signed in His own blood for her keeping
That she might know His love for her.
Light the candles for the groom is coming
Shout it to the ends of the Earth.
Angels sing the victory song
And let hope and joy fill man’s heart
Awaiting the trumpets sound His return.
Rejoice my soul for He will soon be here.
